We are happy to provide a variety of dental procedures for you and your family. Here are a list of some of the services.
A professional cleaning includes scaling, debridement and polishing of the teeth to remove plaque and calculus, otherwise known as tartar. This involves the use of various instruments or devices to loosen and remove deposits from the teeth. Another procedure that is done at our office is called scaling and root planing, which is done to treat periodontal disease or gum disease. This procedure is necessary when tartar build up is below the gumline.
Dentures are prosthetic devices constructed to replace missing teeth, and are supported by the surrounding soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity.
Extractions are performed for a wide variety of reasons, but most commonly to remove teeth which have become unrestorable through tooth decay, periodontal disease or dental trauma, especially when they are associated with toothache.
Dental restorations or filling is a treatment to restore the function, integrity, and morphology of missing tooth structure resulting from caries or external trauma as well as to the replacement of such structure supported by dental implants.
A bridge is a fixed dental restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth by joining an artificial tooth definitively to adjacent teeth or dental implants.
A crown, sometimes known as dental cap, is a type of dental restoration which completely caps or encircles a tooth or dental implant.
Patients typically need a root canal when there is severe decay that reaches the pulp of the tooth or there is infection in the roots of the tooth. During a root canal treatment, the pulp and canals of the tooth are thoroughly cleaned, disinfected, and sealed.
A night guard is a removable device that is worn to protect the enamel of your teeth if you are grinding or clenching while you sleep. Many patients suffer from bruxism, another word for grinding. Wearing a night guard not only protects the teeth from further deterioration, but it will also help with soreness in the facial muscles and the muscles surrounding the jaw.
A brighter smile can be achieved in two different options at our office. We offer several different options of bleaching trays and are happy to discuss these options with you.
